Dr Darlene Ahenakew talks about a grain free flour that a lot of people may not know about in the newest video on the True Potential Clinic YouTube channel.

Egg Free Baking

Almond flour and coconut flour are great options but require adjustments to recipes. For example, they tend to call for a lot of eggs to get the volume desired in baked goods – and some people are not okay with eggs.

All Purpose Gluten Free Flour

A different option is All Purpose Flour by the XO Baking Company – it is gluten free and is mostly made of cassava root (there is some coconut flour in the ingredients as well).

You can use it as a substitute for regular all-purpose flour in recipes. It can be used with egg alternatives like almond paste or apple sauce.

If you are shopping in the Saskatoon area, look for it at the Co-Op, in the regular flour section.
